Frihamnstorget's container park hosts a full-day fungi festival. Stalls, installations and an after-party where wicker baskets are flexed like Rolexes.

🍺 Södermalm’s Best Beer Route (6 Stops)
After 3 weeks of fieldwork, here's what we concluded:
🦉 Ugglan Bar & Boule (17.59 - 19.00, free entry before 18:00, eat here): An after-school club for adults and a true staple of Södermalm. Famous for round-robin ping-pong - but also for boule, pool and board games.
🍷 Alba Vinbar (19.00 - 20.00): A shoebox lit by candlelight, with outdoor seating and heaters for the claustrophobic. Natural wine, hip-hop and the occasional questionable pairing.
🍻 Restaurang Kvarnen (20.00 - 21.00): Since 1908, this beer hall has fed Söder's working-class and Hammarby supporters alike. The premises are lavish. The crowd is not.
Let’s turn up the heat…
🕳️ Söderkällaren (21.00 - 22.00): Graffiti, couch nooks, 49kr beer. Basement Sessionz brings hardcore vibes and makes Söderkällaren feel a lot more illicit, this Friday, 21.00 - 01.00
👴 Morfar Ginko (22.00 - 23.00): Bar and restaurant upstairs, basement club downstairs. Communal seating invites small talk, but the acoustics here guarantee you'll never know your neighbor's name.
⛓️ Häktet (23.00 - 03.00): A former prison with a dungeon-like layout, packed on weekends and hot as a confession booth. Luckily, you can escape to the beer garden.
P.S. Hornstull didn't make the list. The walk would've been too far. A shame, since both Tjoget and Hornstull Bodega are great.

An indoor bar street - Södermalm: Kollektivet Livet has built a DIY bar street, with themed spaces including a Japanese karaoke room, British pub, American diner, French bistro and drop-in tattoo studio. Order at the main bar, then choose where you want to sit.
Färgfabrikens Höstmarknad - Färgfabriken: 70+ vendors selling home decor, jewellery and ceramics. Accompanied by a courtyard bar that's happy to be the scapegoat if you overspend, 26 Sep - 27 Sep, 11.00 - 16.00.
Basement Sessionz - Söderkällaren: Hardcore, heavy bass and cheap beer in a dingy Söder basement. Pair it with Södermalm’s best bar crawl above and call it a night, 25 Sep, 21.00 - 01.00, free entry.

🌳 Trädgården - Södermalm: Trädgården is the club Stockholm can’t stop talking about and that’s the problem. The queues are relentless: first at the door, then again at the bar. Add a 300kr entrance fee and a crowd that feels distinctly performative and the whole ritual starts to feel less like a party and more like theatre.
Honorable mention:
🌍 The International Bar (IB) - Östermalm: A go-to for many simply because it's open until 03.00 every day of the week. There's not much else going for it: a very young crowd, dated interiors and security staff known for being unpleasant.
🎯 The Spot
Hallwylska Restaurang: +3,000 Aura Points
Why Go? A see-and-be-seen type nightlife spot and restaurant, set inside an ornate palace courtyard with a fountain. Basically Versailles.
The Vibe: Peak “Grisch”, beating out both Spybar and Riche. Expect a polished, dress-up crowd and solid DJs. The restaurant transitions into a club come evening.
Good to Know… A retractable roof means the party carries on. Open for the season until October.
Weekend Game Plan
Friday: Södermalm beer crawl? Ping-pong, candlelight, cheap beer and a dungeon finale at Häktet. Full route above. Don’t feel like getting plastered? Skip the sticky floors and swing by Hallwylska instead.
Saturday: Off to the Mushroom Festival. Hang around for the after-party where no one's "secret spot" survives the small talk. Unless Häktet's hangover is still winning. Then maybe don't.
Sunday: Study the works made by arguably Sweden's most famous rapper (Yung Lean) at his exhibition premiere and discuss the artworks with the sad boys in oversized hoodies who attend.
