A grand building, pristine and sadly, faintly performative. Great for people-watching, not so great for actually buying groceries. More of an experience than anything else, built for long lunches.

There's always something being patched up in this basement. Significantly cheaper and more chill than its uptown rival. Most lunches here are eaten in a rush or on the go.

The Members' Club You Snuck Into: Oxsvansen
Why Go? There's something magnetic about a "secret" pub. This one hides up an unmarked stairwell; feels like a members' club you snuck into.
The Vibe: Proper pub décor and a television featuring a fireplace set the scene.
Good to Know… OBS: Send exact directions, or friends won't find it.
Weekend Game Plan
Friday: Swing by Moderna Museet, where entry is free between six and eight. Btw, there’s a public Drink & Draw session at Kaffebaren at seven. Not the move? Disappear into the stairwell of Oxsvansen instead.
Saturday: Act as a farmhand and get your hands dirty for a day at Jordfest. Earn yourself a free lunch for the trouble. Detour home, then straight back out for Trädgården's final send-off.
Sunday: Hit up Hötorgshallen for some Sunday roast supplies or Östermalmshallen for LUS (Lunch Utan Slut). Bring friends.
